Nothing beats the holiday season. Whether you’re celebrating by wearing your favorite ugly Christmas sweater or by rocking out to your favorite holiday classic (mine’s “Good King Wenceslas“), we know theatre kids love Christmas for a multitude of glorious reasons.
1. Belting Christmas carols.
2. The chance to play a role in that favorite seasonal show, in A Christmas Carol.
3. Honestly? A Muppet Christmas Carol.
4. An excuse to watch White Christmas on repeat.
5. Never having to apologize for your Elf costume.
6. The Nightmare Before Christmas sing-alongs.
7. Lighting designers doing what they do best. MAGIC.
8. Secret Santa? Nah. Secret Thespis.
9. Not in a show? ALL THE FOOD.
10. Christmas parties (with other theatre-folk).
